Liam Says Sorry: Repairing an Encounter Gone Sour (Liam Says) (Liam Books) ISBN: 9781843109037
Banks, Jane Whelen
Published by Jessica Kingsley Publishers, 2008
When Liam and his older brother Jamie are wrestling, Jamie pins Liam down. In frustration, Liam biffs Jamie on the nose, and Jamie refuses to play any longer. Liam realises he must apologise, and he learns this does not mean he is bad, but that he is growing into 'a kind and respectful person'. Jamie also apologises when Liam explains he doesn't like being held down, and together they find a way to wrestle that is fair to both. While aimed at children on the autistic spectrum, this would be an excellent story for siblings who sometimes fall out. Stick figure Liam with his blue tee shirt makes an excellent role model in this series of stories. Available from Amazon, from bookshops, or from the publisher at www.jkp.com.
