The two little bear cubs begin life in a happy, loving family, but when their parents break up, they must go into foster care. Dad can't cope with them on his own because he travels, and mum is ill and can't have them either. Eventually they must be adopted. The detail about the two little bears' emotions is moving and feels right, and there are blank pages in the book for children to write and draw their own feelings. While one knows the complexity of the situation the children find themselves in, the level of explanations seems spot on.
