The spunky Little Princess loves to have a bedtime story, but insists on leaving the light on afterwards. It isn't the dark she is frightened of - it's ghosts. No such thing, says dad, the Admiral, the Doctor, and the Maid. When the Little Princess decides that ghosts are afraid of the dark too, she allows the light to be turned off. And then the little ghost appears..... The twist at the end is great fun and will appease those who really do fear there is 'something' out there. Ross's expressive illustrations add to the humour and make what might be a scary idea into one that is pure fun.
