Not a worry in the world ISBN: 9780744515398
Williams, Marcia
Published by Walker, 1990

The little boy is a great worrier. Just about anything anyone could think of to worry about is shown in these busy pictures full of minute detail. The comic approach lightens the load of what are, in fact, serious concerns. The little boy talks about biting his nails and sucking his thumb when the worries get to be too much, and he explains how other people react to worries - his dad by weeding the garden, his mum by yelling, etc. But he also says the best thing to do is talk about the worries with someone else: 'they can't stand being talked about. It makes them so mad that even the worst worries run away'. Definitely to be read with someone as the busy-ness can be a little confusing. But a smashing book.
